You know somedays, you listen to songs like this, and you realize that there is a reason why people came up with the term “first world problems.” Because we live our everyday lives complaining about the little hiccups we come across - when there are greater problems out there.
Problems like poverty.
There are people out there who do not have the same opportunities we do. Yet we take these opportunities for granted. There are people who do not have the same privileges we do - simple things like a family. Big things like an education. Yet we take these privileges for granted. We are easily consumed by our material desires and because we do not understand what it means to be consumed by poverty, we give into seeing others through stereotypes. Stop the hate. Stop the violence.
We are all the same. Human beings. If we are born equal, why can we not live and achieve as equals? I cried my eyes out listening to this song today. For the deaths that did not have to die. For the potential gone unsought.
Problems like poverty. These are man-made problems. Exploitation has been a cornerstone of history for too long. I type this to share my views, if you agree - then I hope you will appreciate what you have. Stop taking your life for granted. Go hard in school. Treat all with equality.
